Hash Browns
I make these very thin
Serves: 1-2
Time: 20-30 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 Medium potato
- ½ teaspoon garlic salt
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- pepper to taste (I use fresh ground pepper)
Preparation
- Heat large pan or skillet (my go-to pan measures 8" on the bottom)
- Peel or clean potato skin
- Grate the potato
- Add garlic salt, onion powder, and pepper
- Stir
- Add oil, Crisco, or bacon fat to pan
- Add potato mixture to pan
- Even out the potato as best you can so that it is the same thickness
- Flip when brown on one side
- Brown the remaining side
Serving
These may be served on their own, or try them with eggs on top (easy over or sunny side up)
