DJ Tea
The Best Iced Tea You'll Ever Make
I always make two batches because a single 12 oz. can of lemonade is used to make two gallons - plus we go through the tea like it is water!
Ingredients
- 1/2 gallon boiling water
- 7 or 8 tea bags (I use 7)
- 1 heaping cup of sugar (the bigger the heap the sweeter the tea)
- 6 oz. lemonade (I buy the cheapest I can find)
Preparation
- Put the tea bags into the water as soon as it comes to a boil. Let it steep for at least 30 minutes (I have let it go much longer).
- Add the lemonade and sugar, stir until dissolved.
- Strain into an old cleaned-out gallon milk jug (or other gallon container) and fill the rest of the way to a gallon.
- Refrigerate and serve.
Note: I've gotten a lot of genuine compliments on this recipe. We (and our guests) never grow tired of it.
