Broccoli Salad
Ingredients
1 large bunch fresh broccoli, cut in pieces (4-5 cups)
1 cup raisins
1/4 cup diced red onions
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 cup bacon bits (from jar - we don't use real bits of bacon)
Dressing
3 - 4 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon vinegar
Preparation
- Combine first 5 ingredients in large bowl.
- Mix together dressing ingredients and pour over salad.
- Toss.
- Best when made 1 hour ahead of time and put in refrigerator to chill.
Yield: 6 servings ... at least that is what the original recipe says. We half it to server four people. Now if you're a big broccoli or salad fan, the full recipe may only make 6 servings.
